Major TBS clients include the West of England Ship Owners Mutual Insurance Association, for whom we act as General Commercial Correspondent in the United States, Assuranceforeningen Gard, Kemper Insurance Companies, and other underwriters, operators, terminals and law firms.

The most unique areas of expertise developed in recent years are third party claims administration and the handling of claims arising from catastrophic losses. As losses become increasingly more complex TBS is often responsible for not only claims resolution, but also overall administration, cost control, financial reporting and environmental restoration. TBS has handled several major incidents throughout the United States, including incidents in California, Florida, Louisiana, Massachusetts, Rhode Island and Washington. Each of these losses has necessitated the handling of personal injury, property damage, business interruption and other type claims, and ultimately contributed to TBS’ ability to put in place on short notice the infrastructure required to handle substantial numbers of claims and the associated costs. These systems, along with our overall breadth of traditional day to day claims handling and financial experience, allow TBS to provide our clients a responsive, professional and personalized service in the most cost-effective fashion.
